Mana Mind and Meaning is a counselling centre where evidence-based psychology meets creativity, mindfulness, and movement — a compassionate, non-judgmental space for individuals, couples, and families to heal and grow, online or in person.
Founded by Dr. Vandana Supriya Kasaravalli · Counselling Psychologist & Dance Movement Facilitator

Counselling, to me, is not only spoken — it is also felt, moved, and embodied.
I am a counselling psychologist, Odissi dancer, educator, and founder of Mana Mind and Meaning Counselling Centre. My approach integrates evidence-based counselling with creativity, mindfulness, and expressive arts to support emotional well-being.
I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families — providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space for healing and growth to unfold at its own pace.
Grounded in established psychological practice and counselling frameworks.
Dance, movement, and creative expression woven into the healing process.
Present-moment awareness practices to build emotional regulation.
A safe, compassionate space for every age and every story.
A Navarasa-Inspired Approach
As part of my counselling practice, I have developed a therapeutic approach that I call Root Therapy, inspired by the timeless Indian concept of the Navarasas — the nine fundamental human emotions.
This approach is based on the belief that every individual carries emotional experiences that influence their thoughts, behaviours, relationships, and overall well-being. By exploring these emotions at their root, clients are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the emotional patterns that shape their lives.
Drawing from the wisdom of the Navarasa framework and integrating it with psychological counselling principles, Root Therapy provides a reflective and compassionate space for emotional awareness, healing, and personal growth. Rather than suppressing emotions, the process encourages clients to understand, accept, and transform them with greater clarity and resilience.
Root Therapy is one of the many approaches I integrate into my counselling practice, alongside evidence-based psychological techniques. Every session is tailored to the individual's unique experiences, needs, and therapeutic goals.
Counselling sessions are available at our three centres, each offering a calm and private space for therapy.
Unable to travel, or prefer a different setting? Sessions can also take place at your home, at a mutually agreed location, or in a safe, peaceful natural environment — chosen around your comfort, accessibility, and therapeutic needs.
Some of the most restorative work happens in nature. As part of our signature program, counselling may take place in thoughtfully chosen outdoor settings — spaces that ease tension, quiet the mind, and gently support the therapeutic process.
